Thanks Mark. I used a wash of Burnt Umber oil paint, thinned with mineral spirits, over Future. Then flat coated with Polly Scale flat acrylic when it cured.

Rick,
I remember seeing a nice color photograph of the Bf 109E you modeled in ‘‘Luftwaffe Colors Vol. 2 1940-1943’’, you did a great job on the camouflage on your model.
Thanks for posting.

Rick, every time I see your models, They astound(is that a word?) me,great job,who makes the kit?Are those the decals that came with the kit?
Thanks Nick. It’s the Hasegawa 1/48 Bf-109E-4 Trop. The decals came from the kit. The kit was one of many re-issues & goes back a few years. I’m not sure this version is still available.
Regards, Rick
I forgot to ask you about a kit you did a few months ago. It was the Macchi Veltro or Folgore, I can’t remember. Which manufacturer was this? I was inspired to try this kit at some point in the next few months b/c yours looked so good.
Matthew, It was a 1/48 Hasegawa Macchi Mc.205 Veltro. The kit is readily available, but I used AM decals on that build.
