A couple years ago I was given a Hasagawa Marlin kit. Unfortunately, it’s missing the left half of the fuselage. I’ve tried emailing Hasagawa, ebay, the IPMS forums, & a couple other websites. Does anybody have an idea where I can find this part?
Now this is a tough one… The only way to save it would probably be to buy a “glue bomb” - a started or botched kit and recover the fuselage from that…
As Pawel said, or buy the kit. It really depends on how hot to trot you are for the build. Finding a glue bomb may take a while and visiting local model shows and swap meets. Buying a replacement kit is probably quicker though more expensive.

I tried emailing a few different manufacturers about missing or broken parts over the years and i have yet to hear back from one of them. I know that doesn’t help but i wanted to share it.
I have in one instance been successful getting Hasegawa parts from Lightspeed Global, the Canada/USA distributor. Stevens Intenational is the main US distributor but they seem to show no interest whatever in providing any kind of customer service. Here is the contact info for Lightspeed. It depends a lot on whether the kit is in current or recent production.

Just emailed Lightspeed. It will probably be after the 1st of the year before I hear from them but, it’s worth a try. I tried Stevens Int’l right after I got the kit. Never heard a word from them. For the price of the kit on ebay, I would turn my current kit into a parts kit. It’s not that high on my build list. The sellers are asking more than I’m willing to pay. I was assigned to VP-30 at Pax River, MD when the last flying Marlin landed there before being taken to the Smithsonian (originally). Three Photographer’s Mates were assigned to shoot it’s arrival. I was lucky enough to be 1 of the 3 and still have some of the slides I shot. If anybody would like a scanned copy, let me know.
