Ive been looking through the web for a good detailing airbrush that is somewhat reasonably priced (<$100). I found the Harder and Steenbeck Ultra gravity fed airbrush with a .2 needle/nozzle set and was wondering if anybody had some opinions on this particular airbrush or company. Also, Id like to hear your suggestions for a gravity-fed detailing airbrush.
Harder & Steenbeck airbrushes are kind of like the Apple Computers of airbrushing. You will find no shortage of fans.

i have the H&S Evolution Silverline Solo with .2 needle/nozzle set and like it. The under $100 Ultra is a very attractive alternative. I always wonder what I have to give up to save the $50 compared to the Evolution. Let us know how you like the Ultra if you get it.
The 0.15 & 0.6 mm needle / nozzle sets don’t fit the Ultra, only 0.2 & 0.4mm,
The Ultras air cap has a fixed needle cap which can’t be removed,
The Ultra has push in paint cups as opposed to screw on, only giving 2 & 5ml cups as opposed to the Evo’s Micro, 2, 5, 15 & 50ml cups & 15ml side feed jar conversion.
Other than that the Ultra is pretty much the same, it uses the same 0.2 & 0.4mm needle sets as the rest of the H&S range, so painting performance with the 0.2/0.4 is on par with the Evo & Infinity!
I ordered the Ultra yesterday, Ill be sure to let you know how it works out
