Anyone know a good recipe for a close match for the Hapag Lloyd color? I have tried several combinations as well as different paint shades and end up with a shade either too yellow or too orange. See below for color I am referring to:
Try checking out Floquil Railroad colors. There are some still around IF you can find them. Try looking in eBay or Amazon.

PFE Light Orange might be what you‘re looking for…
Giving you an exact recipe will be impossible without knowing which paints you have in your arsenal. But I will give you some general mixing advice.
Your target orange is actually ever so slightly red-orange. So if your mixture is too red, add yellow. If it is too yellow, add red in very small amounts. I’m not sure what “too orange” means since your target color is orange. And as far as oranges go, it is fairly highly saturated and a very high value for an orange (I’m using the cleanest container in your picture). If it means your mixture is too light or too bright, add a bit of brown to darken it, or a tiny amount of black to darken and dull it.
Reefer Orange came to mind.
Slight variations from box to box will help too
Gunze makes a yellow orange color that is supposed to be a WWII Japanese Aircraft ID color that might work for you. It is quite vivid in hue.
I managed to drill down to a German site with that line’s brand standards.
The CMYK coordinates are 0/75/90/0 and they call it “Sunset Orange”.
No Cyan (blue), about 40% Magenta which is a purple red color, and almost 60% yellow. No black.
So it’s a very red-orange.
You might be able to find a conversion from CMYK to Pantone or even FS, although I would be surprised by the latter.
