Anyone have any idea how this stuff works? Apparently you just spray it on, and then it dries in a pefect zimmerit pattern. Very cool, but I have no idea how it works.
I could only find this:

I think it’s a joke though. That’s a Mr. Surfacer 1000 can that’s been photoshopped. They didn’t change the Japanese underneath.
Hmm, silly me. It probably is a joke. Well, that would be a great product.
i can’t believe that there could be such a product that you can just mask, spray, and dry. then your left with a nice waffle zimmerit pattern. how in the hell can it do that? and in the pics, its so uniform, what if i had a square of three inches, would it make 6 nice squares for me while the 2 inch piece on the left side of the tank would give me 4 squares? so i’m guessing the can calulates the dimensions also. whats next? mr weld seam?
Kinda hoping for Mr. Tax Begone or maybe Mr. World Peace.
Lol - don’t believe it… Look closer at the pics, the “example” is glued-on resin zim.
EDIT: Did anyone else notice that it was the April (05) edition of the SVSM newsletter? [:o)]
ok, got me phil [:o)] no i didn’t zoom in and notice it was resin, like i said, how in the hell can it do the calculations for different sizes and scales? and i’ll still be looking for the “mr. woman bring me a beer, i worked all day!” [:D]
Note the IMPS newsletter about Mr Zimmerit is the April edition…[;)]
Mr Woman? bring me a beer? IAAYY!!! [yuck] Sorry, I’m not into that sort of thing, but I’ll take the beer though!
would that be sweet or what.i could toss out that tube of red automotive putty.and i agree kykeon,i’ll have a beer also.burning some midnight oil here.soon it’ll be back to work.hopefully i wo’nt be sent to far from home.could someone hurry and invent this stuff.
ok kykeon, you got me too. you and phil out to go out and think of other ways to get ole’ rooster. you know what i meant. [;)] how about mr. kykeon go get me a beer, hehe. better? [:D]
Hehe…[yeah] Much better. [(-D]
My LHS has it right next to the Model Master Black Watch Sett spray can and the left handed X-Acto handles.
It was a follow on product to Mr. Non-slip Surfacer.
We also need Mr. Proper Amount of Weathering and Mr. PE. [:-^]
Don’t forget your Mr. Assembler, just spray it on your sprues and your model magically assembles itself! [:O]
And for you advanced modelers, there is now Mr Scratchbuilder too!
Mr. Camo works well too, just shake, spray and there you go, perfect hard edge 3 color camo for your German armor.
I can’t wait for the release of Mr Camo - Ambush Scheme.
How about something called Mr. Burrito?
Burrito in a spray can? I thought that was the Nacho flavored Chez-Whiz…[C=:-)]
[(-D] You’ll have to specify what scale before you decide to buy. I think 1/72 Zim might look a little strange on a 1/16 Tiger!
Notice the stock number…BS536.
This was in the April IPMS Journal. They do something like this every year.
[:P] April Fool!
