Guess what I got?

Tonight at my club meeting I bought $5.00 worth of raffle tickets and won Trumpeter 1/35 WWII US Navy LCM (3) Landing craft. I think this ones moving near the top of the to-do list, maybe number 2.
It looks like a really nice kit so now I need help for you all to find reference photos and any other info about the the kit would be nice to.
I’ll be away for a week so don’t be worried if I don’t answer right away.
Thanks

Wow! Congrats. What a coup!

Tell us about the kit.

Lucky you. I just paid $58, including shipping, for mine. It does look loike a great kit though. I will be starting mine soon. May stretch it to an LCM6 and build it as a Vietnam era Monitor or ATC(H). I can’t wait to get started.

That’s a great conversion idea. I wish I had the skill to do stuff like that. I’m too busy screwing up dry transfers to be stretching landing craft. [laugh]

Good deal, Trevor!
That would make one cool diorama…

Dan

sounds like you made out very well. cant wait to see the pics.

Allright !

Let us know how it goes

you won it in a raffle? i’m definitely in the wrong part of the country. references: squadron/signal’s landing craft in action & arms and armour press’s allied landing craft of ww2

That’s pretty cool. I certainally don’t have that kind of luck.

Congrats on your lucky score! Be sure to post pics as you progress on this kit, it’s supposed to be one of the better ones out there!

Try this revew for info on your LCM3

I hope this is a help to you Good luck

I definitely want one of these for the shelf. Just have to knock the rust off on something smaller before I tackle this one. Keep us informed when you start this build!
