Hi
One of my best models,a 1/32 Tornado GR1 of 31 Sqn has a problem!
The canopy, which i think i coated in Kleer ( british future poliosh) has started to go cloudy & greyish
Is there any way of rectifing this ?
Merv
Not familiar with Kleer, but if it’s similar to Future a fresh application of Future will normally cure any discoloration problem.
Regards, Rick
Who makes this Kleer stuff?
Does it have an ammonia smell?
How long has it been on the canopy for, and is the model situated anywhere near a window?
Here we use a product called Pledge-One-Go, which has a slight ammonia smell, and if placed to close to sunlight, even filtered light, it does tend to discolour them canopy a little.
I don’t know how far Pledge will discolour, because as soon as I saw it start to happen, I moved the model, but the application of more Pledge almost brought it back to clear again.
Kleer is the British marketing name for future. The display case is on top of the entertainment centre which is near a window. I’ll try a new coat & hopefully it’ll fix it.Never heard of pledge-one -go.Is it a US product,
thanks,
Merv
No, Pledge is an Australian product made by S.C. Johnson.
Almost the same as Future, and a tad cloudy in appearance, but dries clear.
I thought about getting Future from the US, but couldn’t justify paying a couple of bucks for floor polish, then $30 to get it shipped here.
