Greetings From The Midwest

Hello to Fine Scale Community. I am a modeler from Illinois and have been a modeler since the age of 10 or 12(60 years ago! Yikes!) Now retired, I like to work on aircraft, ships, armor and cars. My last model was a 1977 Mack Logging Truck/Trailor in 1/24th scale. On the work bench is a 1987 Pontiac Firebird GTA in 1/16th scale. Next up is the Akagi aircraft carrier by Hasegawa in 1/450th scale. I have also belonged to IPMS for 42 years. I look forward to continue learning different skills from all the talented people that participate in this forum. Thank you.

Thank you for the kind words. I look forward to chatting with fellow modelers. Unfortunately, I am located in an area with no IPMS chapters nearby(2 hours away) and no local hobby shop. So my poor wife has to be my sounding board and listen to my modeling babble! Also the post office seems to be always dropping by with all kinds of packages?

You and I are in very similar situations.

Hello from East Tennessee! I recently started building models again after a 50 year layoff. Last model I built I was 16, but took it up again in retirement. This is a good place to hang out, learn stuff and get advice. Nice folk.
