Greetings from Eugene, Or.

Howdy people. My name is Tom Young and I am an aviation fanatic. I was a habitual model aircraft builder in my youth and gave it up due to frequent traveling while in the Air Force (24 yrs). Now that I am temporairily out of work, I have decided to stop reading and collecting models and start building again.

I have collected about 130+ models over the years and decided that I better start building again now that I have my own house, some spare time, and before my hands get too shakey to paint fine details. So to get started I think I’ll start with 1/72 planes to build up my skills again before tackling the larger scales which I prefer. Reading everybody’s inputs have helped me out with techniques.

Again, howdy, and we’ll see you in the threads.

Hi, Tom,

Welcome to the Forum! We are neighbors (sort of), as I live just across the border in WA. Always glad to see someone return to scale modeling, as I just retired from DHS and am returning after a 40 year hiatus!

Welcome Tom ! The more the merrier !
