Greeting FSM Forums

I have been lurking around a little and am finally getting around to introducing myself. I have been building models off and on since I was about 6 or 7 a long long time ago. Took a break when kids took up so much time and got sucked into internet games but the past few years I have spent more time on my old hobby. I usually torment and humble myself with submittals to the annual IPMS events (central Florida has Orlando and SpaceCoast chapters). I primarily build WW2 armor and WW2 aircraft and spend way too much money on aftermarket enhancements. I will buy an FSM off the rack when I see something related to my current project(s). A few pictures of my more recent work:

- The last thing I have actually finished; a 1/48 Tamiya A6M2-N Rufe.

- I actually won something once with this 1/48 Esci SU-7BKM with Egyptian markings.

- Not too bad for a 40+ year old Monogram kit but not good enough for picky contest judges. One of my most extensively modified works; this T-28 has the scratch-built landing gear bays and aftermarket cockpit and ordnance. I have added seatbelts since this photograph.

- First attempt at a diorama with more than just grass and dirt.

- My latest diorama. I think it needs a tree - currently in-work.

I shall look forward to looking for tips from the rest of you experts out there. I have already found one for antennea wires - invisible thread. [:)]

Welcome to the Forums Duster [#welcome]. Some very nice builds you have there.

Nice!

Welcome. I’m up in the air about the tree, but roughing up the ground around the gun might be a good idea. There are spent shell caseings so it’s been fired and artillery moves even when locked in firing mode.

Welcome. That is some nice work!
