I got an e-mail from Greatmodels that drew me right in.They had Academy’s Whirblewind and PzIV on sale and I bit. I know they are nowhere near a DragonTiger 3&1 but for $12 apiece I could’nt pass it up. For that price I can afford Friuls and other fun AM products.New I shouldn’t have said they could notify me!!![party][party]

Same happened to me. I got their newsletter and it had some of the new dragon releases for pre-order and I just had to get them. I want to be on top of the list when those teaser batches are released like with the Initial Tiger and the Drilling halftrack.

Nope I didn’t see them, but at those prices I’ll take them.Call me stupid, but when I can get two kits from a decent manufacturer I’m happy. I did thier M.18 and beside the indie tracks, it was a good kit.

I shudder when I think what I will spend at the IPMS Indy show next saturday. Last year I dropped close to $300 at our local show. I also have a couple of kits waiting for me at my LHS. Time to sell some blood plasma… [bow]

Indianapolis. Some very good vendors will be there: Michigan Discount Models, CRM Hobby, M &M Hobbies and Formations models (allied and sherman resin heaven). I think there will be about 80-90 vendor tables.
Aw man that’s not THAT far away from me. If you hold up your right hand with your palm facing you I’m about dead center in Michigan. That’s the best way to describe to someone where you are in this state. Don’t let anyone badmoth these kits, for the price they are great fun and a great basis for trying something new without worrying about destroying a great kit. Mine here i used the zimmerett sheet, and made my own extra armor for around the turret from .10 sheet plastic. Heck, except for the metal gun barrel the whole thing is box stock. It was a great project,and even though i havn;t been able to settle down and create another (I have been diagnosed with adult ADHD, i hope treatment will help me get my focus back) I still enjoyed it for its ease of construction, and general good looks.
