What I wouldnt give for the back seat in one of these, I just had to share it with all of you. The video is a bit long at 10 minutes but well worth the look.
Thanks for the link. A good friend of mine spent his career flying the U-2. He said his favorite thing to do was to fly into the US from up north, knowing there wasn’t any fighter which could climb to his altitude and intercept him.
Wow. That was incredible. I love James May, he’s one of the most “together” individuals in entertainment. Now that I think of it, thats the first that I’ve ever seen him at a loss for words.
I got emotional watching that. Thank you for sharing it, absolutly incredable.

A ride in a U-2 would be quite an experience. Kick the altitude up another 10 to 15K feet and the speed times 5 and you have an SR-71.

That was amazing - finally put perspective on what 70,000 feet look like, just incredible.

WOW!!!
Nice find. Just amazing!!!
That was simply amazing. Wouldn’t that be a ride to remember? I have to agree with Mr. May, about a ride like that changing ones perceptions. Anywho, thank you for posting that. Cheers Dave
