After many posts asking questions and no pictures, I wanted to share my results with this product. I read about it on the web and ran to my local Michaels and got a ‘‘lifetime’’ supply [:D]. Here its shown on a work in progress old Italeri Hummer M998 kit # 247. The Liquitex Stucco Gel has a tooth paste consistency in bone white color. It mixes very nice with the pigment of your choice, Vallejo 73102 & 73105 in my case. It dries slowly with good adhesion and plenty of time to complete your model on a small batch. A small batch made in a soda cap was enough for the project.

Thanks to those who raised their hands with my questions in my ABRAMS project. This is what I’ve got after almost 25 years without laying a hand on an armor kit. I hope you like it.

Hmmmmmm…I’ll have to look into this Liquitex thing…

application is very easy hutch. Just get and old flat brush, a hard brush is better and dip the tip in your small batch of the ceramic stucco. Don’t brush as if you were painting, just touch your model on those areas you want to ‘‘mud’’ Repeat as needed for larger blotches. Like I mentioned before, this gel has the consistency of the old Colgate tooth paste, only gritty. It is white, the color will depend on the pigment you use. And who knows if a drop or two of acrylic paint would do.
