Hey Fellow Modelers,
Does ANYONE make an F-14D aftermarket cockpit that’s compatible with the Revell Super Tomcat kit? I’ve been lookin all over the place, without any luck, but thought my more experienced bretheren might have an idea or two. Thanks for your help!
John
I spent a bunch of time looking for a cockpit for that kit too.
There’s an eduard PE set that is mostly cockpit. and true details seats.
I building that kit now. and these are the only aftermarket items I could find.
good luck,
post if you find anything else…

I have that Eduard cockpit, the color one, and it is beautiful. It, too, is in their ZOOM line, the economy sets. What these sets are, is basically the cockpit fret from the full-size (and more than twice as costly, in most cases) sets, which will have two, three or even four frets with them, but generally only one, the cockpit, in color.
With this set, I don’t see why it won’t modify to the Revell kit. If you cant get the main panel to fit, sanding the inside of the fuselage often will fix that. This Eduard set has not only all that good color and detail (including teeny, tiny switches in color), it has about a dozen film screens for the glass parts of the offiice. Unfortunately, my copy of it is promised to another modeler from this forum, so I can’t offer it. But you can find it on Eduard.com where you can get a look at it. I think it’s in the November release.

Thanks Tom,
I found the Eduard set and ordered it. Can’t wait to see it. Then I’ll have to go out and get new glasses after I use it! My oh my, so many tiny parts! Ah, what we sacrifice for our craft!
