In a couple of weeks, the family and I will be spending about a week at Orange Beach along the coast of Alabama. On one of those days, we’re going to swing by Pensacola NAS to visit their museum. I’m pretty stoked about that!!! I was just wondering, since I’ll be in that area, are there any good hobby shops in that part of the country?

Do what I do… Google the area for hobby shops. I found one near my sis-in-law’s home in Rochester, NY area. It even provided me a website of the LHS there.
I also do this whenever I’m taking a family vacation trip to wherever I’m going. Well worth doing the homework yourself. In the past, I had found a good one in Groton, CT area a couple years back.
Yeah, I did that and found a few results. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to tell which ones are the better ones. There’s also a listing for one hobby shop that still shows up but, according to other web sites, that hobby shop is closed. That’s why, after doing the research, I was hoping to get people’s personal opinions. I’m not going to have a whole lot of time to do any shopping. That’s why if I pick out one shop to go to, I’d like to to be a nicer one.

Bobe’s Hobby House should be worth a visit. I’ve only been to their old store but it was a pretty nice hobby shop. The new one looks good from online photos.
