Still not doing the airbrushing thing (someday maybe). Is there a good aerosol lacquer for WWII Soviet armor? Hoping to minimize the number of coats, etc., so as not to obscure what detail there is.
Tamiya AS-14 looks pretty good to me, but is there something better?

Look at gaming paints. If you want really nice dark shadows, GW’s Chaos Black is a fine primer. Otherwise, Army Painter has a couple of different greens that I’ve used. Good coverage on the first try.
