I’m Looking for any suggestions on a well designed 1/48 Skyraider kit. I’m not the most experienced modler in the world and I have a perticular problem with situations where I have to fill and sand. There is a Tamiya kit at my local hobby store but if there is a perticularly well designed kit out there please let me know. Thanks
Take the old Monogram kit, a good kit for beginners. I have the same. Good results for a few deutschmarks ( or for you bucks )

The Tamiya kit is the way to go. It fits much better than the Monogram kit. There is less filling and sanding with the Tamaya kit. Both are good kits and the Monogram kit cost less. The Tamaya kit has more detail and builds into a very good looking model. You can’t go wrong with any of them.

You gotta let those deutschmarks rest in peace - they are gone forever!
You cannot beat the Tamiya A1
I hope to get the USN model soon
The extra money is worth it.
it is perfect for the beginner purely because it fits together so well.
The only thing that could possibly spoil it is a bad paint job
Hey sam,
Berny, I’m not even gonna say anything[:p][:p].
Go w/ the Tamiyas Sandy. The fit is so good(I’m not even kidding) that in some parts of the kit, you would not have to have used glue!!
Overall the kit is very well done!! Generally speaking, it reminds me a lot of the Tamiya Wildcat and its excellent fit.
Flaps up, Mike
The Tamiya Spad is the one you want. The old Revell kit requires much more work to turn out a decent model. JMHO. - Ed
Thanks For all the imput. It looks like there is a consensus on the Tamiya. Lucky for me that is the one my local store has in stock. Thanks for all the help.
OK Butz. [:D][:D][:D] I am going to put a stop payment on the second check I sent you, so don’t even try to cash it. [;)][;)][;)]
