Going to try something new!

One a kit that I am building for an upcoming comp I want to try something new.

The Kit is of a nice lady with an attitude and I want to clad her in a semi see-through shirt.

Thinking of doing something similar I use for underwear, ie paint the area in flesh colour and than overlay the clothing to leave a hint of the underlying colour.

Since the short will be in black I am planning on either thinning down black a lot or using a smoke colour to get the desired effect.

Something similar to this:

Any thoughts, ideas and/or suggestions??

I’m thinking the transparent color over flesh is the way to go MM.

I am also leaning towards that way. Pity is that I am not as good as that guy.

Will be quiet a challenge as the clothes on the kit I am doing are not that tight fitting quiet a few loose folds which will need to be done ina more solid colour.

Hey, if it gets wrong I will simply strip the kit and redo it.

I was recently turned on to irridescnt colors to get silky looks. They areavailable in oils or acrylics. A thin coat would probably do what you want.

I have used the Golden and Liquitex Iridescent colours previously, but since I now got pearl powder at home I might try adding a bit of those to the smoke colour.

On the next Figure kit I want to try some glazes as I have seen some stunning results with those too.

hehehehe pun…

sounds like a good idea! paint it as u would without it and then a watered down coat over it…
