Where do you get powdered silica?
I used to sell industrial chemicals, which is where I picked up mine. An art supply or pottery supply store might have it, but if not, try using powdered pumice instead. It is used in pottery too, or you can use the Woodland Scenics “Talus”, which is pumice, and grind it in a mortar and pestle.
thanks guys for all your help i’ll give it a go
I was just wondering why you want to glue baking soda? To make snow, mud, what? Call me dumb. [%-)]
when i use baking soda for snow and want it to adhere, i use the scenic sprayer that I get from the LHS… like in this pic… while it was drying, i added footprints in the snow and it worked great.
