I just received my first 3 D printed model. I tried testers Contacta adhesive and it didn’t work . Then I tried Super glue, I just managed to glue my fingers. any other suggestions?
CA (aka Super Glue) should work. I’ve also used 5-minute 2-part epoxy.
Lately I’ve started using UV cured resin.

Superglue does require a bit of care. If you’re using the watery stuff, perhaps get ahold of the slower gel cyanoacrylate; it’s easier to not spread all over and it doesn’t do the capillary thing like the watery version does. Keep a bottle of debonder nearby and consider using an accelerator to set the glue on the model - not your fingers - instantly.
Super glue would be my choice. Get yourself some of the tiny super glue metal applicators, and also some of the tiny, long neck applicators that screw onto the super glue tubes. Place a drop or two of glue onto a plastic water bottle lid, dip the metal applicator into it which will form a tiny drop, then apply to where you need it. When the end of the metal applicator gets clogged with dry glue, blast it with a lighter and will be good as new in seconds. The long necks are good for hard-to-reach places. A mix of regular, time controlled, and gel super glues are always on my bench.
I usually use CA glue for resin, but since it apparently didn’t work for you, try this suggestion from Loctite.
To bond resin, epoxy glue is the best choice, as it is durable and strong. It can be used on non-flexible materials such as metal, ceramics, plastic, rubber, concrete, and tiles. To glue resin on MDF, Yellow Glue (aliphatic resin) is recommended, as it is stronger and more water-resistant. It is important to use clamps and tapes to secure it properly.
Maybe you could try hot glue though it isnt as strong
