Well I finally did it. I was putting the windscreen on my A-7 and somehow I got two glue smudges, courtesy of my fingers, on each side. Any ideas on how to remove the glue?[:(] I did a search in the forums for previous posts and did see any.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what kind of glue is it?

It is Testors liquid glue.

After going back and looking at it again I think that I will be ordering a new canopy. I can see where it has crazed the plastic.

If you have a polishing kit, you might try working it over with finer grades until you smooth and clear it up again. Then use some plastic polish. I fixed a canopy on my F-18 that way, and you can’t tell that it was ever screwed up.
if you try to sand it off, start with rough and progress to super fine sandpaper. Work at 90-degree angles to the previous sand. So on the first grit, you go front to back; on the second grit go side to side (i am talking about directions relative to the canopy sitting on the AC)
You could try somehing called “Goo Gone.” It’s a citrus solution made to remove paint, adhesives and other stuff - it’s worth a shot. If you live in the U.S. check out a grocery store or like WalMart.
