To the best of my knowledge, the only other surviving Elefant is in a museum on the outskirts of Moscow. Can’t remember what the museums called…
It would be great if Aberdeen restores it to working condition before it turns into a lump of rust.
Ok heres what I have heard. The museum was suppost to ship it out somewhere when the drive train locked up. Now I havent asked the museum why the elefant is just sitting there, but they have all kinds of equipment here to move this thing. Besides that, they have a place here on the Proving Grounds where they refurbish all their displays. Maybe I will call them today to find out what the deal is with it. Being that it is a very rare piece of history. This elefant was my one real reason to get into modelling at 10 years old. And one of the many reasons I have always loved german WW2 armor. Hopefully I can get an update on it and let you all know the deal with it.
i hope you can make a difference, from what i have read, the Ordanance Museum at Aberdeen is trying to build a giant building to where they can house many of these old relics before the elements destroy them to much.

Wow. Looking at these pics, I can almost hear the shouts of German soldiers, the boom of cannon, and the crash of eplosions over the deep throbbing sound of Maybachs engines.
I hope they finaly get that beast restored.
