FW 190 question

being that im a tread head, im at a loss for the varient of fw190 i saw in a painting. it had yellow wing tips(lower) yellow panel behind the cowling (lower) green camo motteling over the mg., winter white wash motteling on fuselage(no numbers shown) and finally no gun packs, bombs or fuel tanks.im guessing the time frame as winter 43? thanks for any info in advance. btw i want to do this ac for dupes winter warrors 2 GB. SAR-

Sounds like an aircraft from Nowotny’s group. Did it look something like this?

or this:

Sounds like an a/c from JG 54 which fought in the Central front area in Russia…thay used a lot of segmented greens w/ whitewash—Nowotony was part of this unit…

thanks guys for the info .

daywalker:it looked like a combo. of both, but being a painting im sure a little artistic license was the order of the day.

mannie, i dont know about jg 54 but will atleast have a direction to start in. i know from the limited research ive done that they are either -3 or -4.

semibold, that is pretty sharp. every time i see them done well it makes me want one all the more!!
