FW 190 & BF 109 diorama

I have two Eduard kits FW 190-4 and BF 109 G-2.
I was thinking of putting them both in the same diorama base.
I know sometimes they shared the same airfield but unsure if at the time would it be possible.
Both are around early 43 and both JG54.
The 109 was piloted by Major Hans “Assi” Hahn, Stab II./JG 54.
FW was piloted by Major.Hannes Trautloft JG54.
I have the ICM Luftwaffe winter ground crew and Aero bonus pilot figure.
I’m not sure if it would work as an accurate dio.

I love your idea to put both aircraft on one base! Trautloft was Commander of JG54 and like the I.Gruppe the Geschwaderstab converted to the Fw190 A-4 in February/March 1943. The II.Gruppe still flew the Bf109, transition to the Fw190 started in the summer of 1943. Because the Commander often visited his Gruppen it is not historically confirmed (due to a photo) both aircraft standing next to each other, but absolutely possible until Hahn took off to his last mission before his capture on February 21, 1943. Go for it!

Yes I read about Hahn being captured and he was not released until 1950.
What I might do is do it as two separate dioramas that can be put together as I think making one large dio might be a bit too big.
I have loads of foliage left over from my 1/35 days and a couple of jars of snow.
Going to make a start on the 109 tonight and get the cockpit ready for painting.
Thanks for replying

Sounds like a great dio subject. Winter scene I assume. Man that figure looks great!

I have been looking into changing either the 109 or the 190 with a different tactical number, think it won’t look right both aircraft having similar chevrons.

Best I’ve found upto now is an Eagle cal set which has one 109 as Blue#5 7.staffel/JG54.
I’m using this identification markings to try and find a suitable decal replacement.

My perseverance paid off and found a replacement decal for the 190.
Black 2 II/JG54 January 43,same unit and time as Hahn’s 109.
Unsure what the decals are like, just hope they are good.
They’re Had models decals
Funny that the 190 also crashed and captured just like Hahn’s 109.
