Fw 190 A3 interior color

Hello everyone! I’m just getting started on Tamiyas A3 Focke Wulf and have a question for all those Luftwaffe color experts out there. The kit instructions call for RLM grey and german grey for the cockit interior. I’m assuming that the RLM grey is 66 but I’m not sure about the german grey? Also, should the exterior colors be 82/83 over 76? Thanks in advance!!

The changeover to RLM 66 for cockpits areas had been made by the time the Fw 190 appeared. The exterior colors should be 74/75/76. The prop blades RLM 70 in most cases and the gear legs and wheel wells RLM 02. The main wheels should be black and not 02 as is often mistakenly done.

Hope that helps!

Joe

The German Grey reference is probably RLM 02, but as Joe said, Luftwaffe aircraft from early 1941 on had RLM 66 cockpits.

Regards, Rick

For an A-3 version, camo scheme might be RLM 74/75/76, the other scheme is for later versions near to the end of the war, like the D-9 version or the Ta-152… RLM 66 for cockpit and RLM 02 for landing gear and landing gear wells… I suggest you to paint the whell hubs gloss black and tires matt black

Thanks everyone for their input! This is one of the many German projects to build. Waiting in the wings are Me110G6, Me410,Me262,and Dornier 335 Pfeil. Now its off to my lair in the basement to get started. Thanks again!
