Future floor wax

I keep reading about people using Future for sealing thier models before doing washes. This sounds like an ace product.

Now the problem is its doesnt seem to be aviliable in the uk!
Does anyone know of a similar product i can get?

You can check the tips and techniques forum. I think thats it. It has a big sticky dedicated to future. I saw some people mentioning UK alternatives.

The same thing in the UK is Johnson;s Klear.

Good luck;

Bill

Thanx guys

I have heard of using Future to prep a surface for appling decals. I would also like to read that topic for other uses. Thanks JR.

Since we’re on the topic (sort of), what do you use to clean Future out of your airbrush? Is it difficult to get out? Do you need to thin it to airbrush it?

I know I’ve seen the what to use to thin answered before, but don’t think I’ve ever seen answers to the others.

Thanks

Bill

i spay it straight from the bottle unthined at about 20psi with a medium tip on my badger 150 , i clean it up after by spaying windex thru my airbrush and when i’m done for the day i just pull the needle and tip off and clean those again with windex. i haven’t had any problems with this method so far and its prety easy

Many thanks

Bill

Well from what I read a lot of people use windex to clean out there airbrushes after shooting Future. I use rubbing alchohol. Then I flush out the rubbing alchohol by shooting tap water thru it. From what I read ammonia can mess up an airbrush if you don’t flush it out.

Future is very useful. You can use it before applying decals, you can an seal off your paint prior to weathering, you can dip your canopies into it to get a high gloss… I prob missed a few other things.
