Future acrylic and GMM's PE parts - bridge windows

I’m currently building Tamiya’s terrific 1/350 USS Missouri with the additions of GMM’s photo-etched fittings.

When it came to putting together the bridge windows, I unfortunately didn’t have any clear styrene glazing or strips to place behind the etched window parts as new “glass”. I did however have plenty of Future acrylic! Placing small amounts of the liquid along the windows was easy, as it collected inside of them perfectly. And the consistancy was such that it didn’t drip off or away. In a matter of hours to dry, I had acrylic “glass”. The realism was brought to life by not only GMM’s amazing PE part(s), but with what I use on a regular basis and without having to purchase something new.

yet another use for Future, the wonder tool for modellers. Thanks for sharing the tip.
