G’day all,
here are some pictures depicting what life is really like in australia
…and it’s like, winter down there, isn’t it?
You all flew F-111’s into the future and for that I applaud you.
NOTHING on your map is Aussie for the Nullarbor Plain, which means “no trees” which is a good description of your country.
You are the country that gave us Cate Blanchette, Yvonne Strahovski and Andrew Bogut (that last one is a winner).
I have relatives in Perth who are Croatians and I love them.
Good Day!
I would truly love to visit that country one of these days.
Hello! Or should I say G’Day!
Been there, done that. A beautiful country, but first of all, wonderful people there.
So - visit Australia and have a nice day

I too have been there . Friendliest , nuttiest ( they have a great sense of humor ) and pleasant folks I’ve met . Besides they do have that awesome Opera House and the Big Reef !
I’d love to go there myself someday. I hear going to bar telling them you want to get “pissed” is translated as getting drunk. LOL!
Funny anecdote–I have a friend whom I met in Europe while he was on Holiday, and he calls me about once every six months and always says in this extreme Aussie accent “G’day Kaahhl! Dow ya know whoo it is, mayte?!” I always laugh because NO ONE else that I know has such an identifiable accent!
My wife has a number of cousins who all live in Perth. They are all ethnic Croats and speak Italian with an Aussie accent. And English and Croatian. We must be one of the only first world nations who only speak one language.
Anyways the nicest folks you can imagine. Very generous and funny.
G’day guys, right back at you with regard to having a great country. I have visited the US four times now and absolutely love it there. I have seen 26 states over there so far and have relatives in Abilene, Texas, and a buddy in San Angelo, Texas. I have never had any trouble with anyone I’ve met over there, and you have some incredibly beautiful scenery. I love your cars and the car culture that goes along with it too, as I am a huge Motorsports fan and you guys have some of the best racing in the world in a multitude of genres on 2 and 4 wheels. I took my son there for 3 and a half weeks for his 12th birthday and it will always be the memory of a lifetime for the both of us. And just for future reference, we NEVER say “let’s put a shrimp on the barby”! Cheers.
“It’s got a gun!”
FYI, this video has some language in it, watch at your own risk!
Mick ;
I have a friend who was a train driver on the long straight run across the country .Even when ill or troubled , he never fails to greet me with a G’Daye Mayte ! very cheerfully . Love him and the great country of Australia .One of the most beautiful countries I saw on my second Honeymoon . The New Missus had always wanted to travel and we certainly did ! Ten months with one whole month dedicated to your fine land . " Good on ya , Mayte !
Cheers tankerbuilder,
Glad you liked your stay in OZ. we are a pretty happy go lucky bunch for the most part and we don’t take ourselves too seriously. I have seen way more of the States than I have seen of my own country. I guess you take your own backyard for granted. I have driven about 20 000 miles over there but I hate driving more than 50 miles over here! And everyone I met in the US was so friendly to me. I know there would be exceptions (same as everywhere), but I didn’t meet them. And I love all the different accents you guys have. You only have to drive a couple of hours and you will find a different accent. Our two countries are roughly the same size area wise but over here we all talk pretty much the same. Anyway mate, send me an email if you want to chat some more. The address should be on my bio . Cheers mate.
Heh - have you ever come to the East Coast?
Not the north east, no. Give me the west or the south any day.
You should visit the Northeast sometimes. I live in New York. (No, not NY City. LOL!)
I would love to but not anywhere near NY City, or Noo Joisey!!
New York City isn’t all that bad. my family and I have taken a bus trip there a few times and it’s a blast to visit. Brooklyn Zoo, Radio City to see The Rockettes during Christmas, Rockafeller Center, Times Square, oh my… Fun fun fun.
