Has anyone seen this kit, know anything about it, quality, etc. Saw it at Squadron and was interested in it.
Thanks
Rob
Mongram’ is better
Ditto, Grandad John is correct. If you want a really good OOB AH-1F/S, then Monogram is the way to go. The cockpit is really nice, with raised details for easy painting. The only thing it could use is some details on the back wall and the HSS rails and wiring on the canopy. The fuselage is right on the money in terms of dimension and shape. It is a bit of a bear to build, but nothing a little patience and time can’t overcome. For a late F model Cobra, you’ll need to add the inlet flow diverters and a M130 Chaff/Flare dispenser to the tail boom, just below the vertical fin.
HTH,
Rob,
Yep, I agree with G’dad. The Monogram 1/48th AH-1S/F is a much better kit, even though it has raised panel lines. Great interior detail and an accurate shape build up into a really nice kit. Now if it would only come in 35th!
thanks for input guys. I was just doing a search and it caught my eye. not necessarily looking for one right at the moment, was just thinking about adding it to the fleet of unbuilt helo’s i own.[;)]
