I hot my newsletter this morning,I seem to remember in the past that it used to also refrence what was going on in the Forum by mentioning a couple of ongoing topics being discussed.Wouldnt doing this be a good way to promote the Forum get more people interested,and encourage more participation.

Yep, it used to. Back in 2011 when I first took it over, the newsletter used to have that and a couple of other sections, too. Around 2016, it was revamped in accordance with analytics–the parts that were scoring high among recipients were retained, and those that weren’t were removed. I may do some testing to see if putting the forum back in the newsletter garners clicks.
