CORRECT: 3

Fade to Black…

I think I saw three of those on a merry-go-round at the last county fair I went to. The little kids loved them. That guy must be really short. [:D] Is he an Umpaloopa!?!

I think I may be way off, but I gave it a shot

i gave this one a shot too, probably way off tho knowing how devious Blackwolf can be with these quizes[;)][:p][:D]
Greg

I thought i could ID almost any WWII Aircraft… And then Blackwolf came along with his quizzes and shattered my ego! [:p] Well, i dunno what that is, but the guy who made this kit has to start wearing latex gloves when handling his models! There’s a nasty smudge right in front of the tail section… Hehehe… [;)]

Since my knowledge of canvas covered aircraft is very limited, i’ll just sit this one out. [:)]

I think that its Mickey Rooney’s personal aircraft. Or, it could have belonged to Alfalfa or Buckwheat. Seems to me I saw this plane on an old B&W T.V. when I was a kid…

Shrikes, it’s good to see you back… I’d missed seeing you around. I’m gonna have to do some digging on this one as I’m not that familiar with the early stuff either.

Just a question here…

Was over at a pal’s tonight and he had trouble seeing the image. Is anyone else having any problems with it at all?

Anyhoo, I may have to lay it on heavy with the clues this time around, but then again maybe I’ll just let ya’ll wander around in the dark. [;)]

BTW, I like it when people start calling me devious, Greg. Means I’m doing something right…

MUA HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

To those who sent kind comments with their emails, thank you very much! I try to make this challenging, fun and enlightening. I can never get enuff of things with wings and always look forward to finding something new or different and am only too glad to provide the same for ya’ll.

Fade to Black…

I didn’t know you were including half scale mock-ups in your quiz?

I see Noddy’s passed his pilots licence. Haven’t a clue where he’s gonna put Big Ears though…[swg][#wstupid]

Actually, it’s a 3/4 replica… [;)]

Fade to Black…

Did it shrink in the rain?

Or is he a giant?

Either way haven’t got a clue, it’s got far too many wings!

Karl

ooh ooh I know this one… yep its another one of those things… yep its an Airplane!!! what do I get for correct awnser?

A real sincere “attaboy” and a pat on the back! [:p]

Fade to Black…

3/4th replica?!?

By george, I’ve got it! It’s a biplane from the Munchkinland Airforce! Unfortunately, the whole airforce was lost due to a freak tornado/house accident that also killed the wicked witch of the east.

Geez, your quizzes are getting tougher and tougher!!

Don’t worry, Shrikes. I’ll follow up with an easy one, just to restore some of the shattered morale out there… [;)]

Fade to Black…

yeah, I didn’t think the one I guessed was small enough, oh well…

OK, I have perused my book and every WWI site I can find and have no joy.
Dare I say it…a clue, a clue, a clue…please.

Well it’s mid-week, so here’s your clue…

Only one was made.

Also, the jokes about this kite being small are loosely relevant as regards it’s name.

Fade to Black…

Hi all,

Whoever built the model pictured in the first post really blew it. Obviously the figure is 1/48 scale, but the plane is 1/72 scale.

On the otherhand, I really like the whole hangar diorama. The Sopwiths in the background are a nice touch. [;)][:D]
