I just bought some of the friulmodel tracks for a couple 1/35 german halftracks, but they are unlike anyof their other sets I’ve used for tanks (i.e. no pins). As I have also found with their other sets, the instructions are not the greatest either. Has anyone here assembled these and can provide some tips? I tried finding something on youtube but only found videos of regular tank track…nothing halftrack related. Wish they could provide either better instructions or better drawings.
I got some for a D9R Armoured Bulldozer there was no pins had to use Super Glue to put them together I made the mistake of putting them together first then burnished them because of the super glue some small parts didn’t burnish , I was told that if I burnished them first that would not happen they still turned out but I know next time. I found that they went together the same way as the ones that came with the model you just use small amounts of CA glue.
Did you try contacting Friul about some replacements? Or you could try dressmaking pins. I found some very thin ones nice and used them and they worked great.
Are they the older type that are crimped together?
