Hello,
After reading some of the posts here about people having issues with free webspace to host their modelling images / reference images… the thought occured to me that I should create one for you all. So I have, its for everyone to post images of their models or reference pics. Here are the instructions.
Click the Logon Link at the top right, and enter this information:
user: fsm password: model
Follow the instructions and upload your photos from your harddrive. Just click the BROWSE button, find the photo on your hard drive and then click upload. A small progress window will open up while it loads and will disappear when its done. Then after you are done uploading the page will auto reload showing your pictures, click on your photos and copy / paste the link in here so everyone can click straight to your photos.
You can also change the caption for each of the pages.
You can also comment on each and every photo!!!
To comment on an image, click on the thumbnail. Click Add Comment, and type in your info, then hit submit. Done! Then everyone else can see your comments also.
Here is the layout of the Gallery So far

If you have a ton of F-14 Reference Pics, just create a new gallery under Reference, then upload them to that gallery. If you have issues creating galleries, just shoot me an email or a message here, Ill take care of it. Enjoy!
I took a butt load of reference pics of a working T6 Texan and a static but complete FM2 Wildcat today, also got some of an L4J with bazookas mounted on the struts. Are you guys interested? If so I’ll upload them to Rons site otherwise I don’t want to waste his bandwidth.
Thanks for the kind words Ron. The sand bags are made out of two part epoxy putty, the kind you get at Home Depot or WalMart for fixing leaky pipes and stuff. You have to work kind of Quick you only have about 5 min.
You dont have to thank me buddy. Its not a big deal at all. I go through and check / upload a few times a day. Lots of people have made erroneous albums, uploaded to the wrong place… no biggey. Everyone will get used to it. Its still very young.
Being in the web business for over 10 years or so, I am usually the guy that is very adept and able to host things for communities. I host another subsite for a newsgroup that I frequent, alt.design.graphics.
Honestly… with the activity so far… I really expect that gallery to get to 1000 images or so within 6 months. I am very excited about it. I think it has alot of potential if people want to use it which they are showing they do.
The thing I would like to see more of, is the commenting on each photo. THAT really is a ball. One of my favorite things about it.
Like I commented on your X-Wing model. You can ask the author questions etc, and anyone can comment… just type in your email and comment, then it goes. You can get some great comments on it… and its also nice for the builder on a very solo hobby that we have undertaken.
Nothing like letting people into your model cabinet via the internet and praising your work to give you a smile for the day,
I just put a lot of stuff on taday, there’s a lot of ref. material for someone now
I put one up of my PLS so maybe someone can keep an eye out for a 1/35 scale of one, I also put up some more uniforms and a 5ton pic.
have fun, tell me what you think?
