Howdy,
A long time ago I bought Dragon’s M4A3 HVSS flamethrower tank(6807) from my LHS. Someone had bought it just for the turret and returned the rest. More recently I bought Tank Workshop’s T-23 turret with the round hatch and Armorscale’s M1A2 barrel set. I want to make a late war Sherman with 76mm gun with a muzzle brake. If I combine these different things will it be fairly accurate? Are there any other things that would be good to add? I ask because I don’t know ze Shermans that well.
I do’nt know if you have the same chassis as the korean sherman with the tiger’s mouth decals because if it is, you will notice that this is the only model with the correct welds although not too pronounced and not like the later models where the welds are sunk . I only noticed it when I was cleaning my model. I wonder why they have to change it?
I think it is the same as the one you described. I compared the upper hull to one in Dragon’s newer M4A3 Battle of the Bulge and the weld seams are not as deep. So it has at least one good thing going for it. [:)]
