They are hard to find, especially this one, I purchased my first firefighter kit in 1956, had all of them except this one. Im 90 now, still building old Revell kits, my paint jobs are not perfect anymore, but Im happy with them, good therapy :slightly_smiling_face:

A bit of history. After 90 years, glad you’ve completed the quest!

I’ve done a couple firefighters myself. This 1/32 snaptite ages ago

And a couple CalFire birds

I have another Dash-8 fire bird in the stash and the 1/24 Trumpeter LaFrance I started ages ago…should pull that one out

I think it’s fantastic that you’re still building at 90. That gives me another 27 years, so if I can stop buying kits, I might actually make it through my stash. :joy:

And I’m sure your paint jobs are just fine. To me, it’s the journey and the enjoyment of building that matter most anyway.

Keep at it — I hope I’m still sitting at the workbench doing the same thing when I get there.

Kev Dog, that OV-10 — or other firefighting equipment — would be a perfect fit for the Unarmed & Unafraid group build if you ever decide to do another one along those lines.

Those look great, and they’re exactly the kind of unusual subjects I’d love to see show up in the group build.

Thanks Gary, I was excited to find it.

Wow, looks great, I`m a fan of the older kits.

I agree, it is the enjoyment, and the fact that I am fortunate to be able to do this at my age. Hope I can get through my stash of old kits.

Samphoto, my grandfather passed at 93, he once said to me, get up every morning and get going, live like you are going to live forever, do what makes you happy, dont fret over things you cant change, value your time alone.
I`m sure you will get there, keep going… :slightly_smiling_face:

Sage advice that I will strive to live up too for sure.
