Fortress Heritage Flight!!

Went to the Barksdale Air Force Base Open House today. They had three very interesting heritage flights.

A B-17 Flying Fortress with a B-52 Stratofortress.

An AT-6 Texan with a T-6 Texan II

A P-47, P-51, F-4, and F-16.

Pretty cool to see these very different planes flying in formation.

The B-17 and B-52 flight is very impressive. Nice shot

  1. [:O] A phantom still flying!! wow!

  2. No guess as to who is going full throttle and who is half throttle and flaps down any of the photos!

Glad to see these. Thanks for posting those. It truly is a rare sight

Very interesting photos, thanks for posting them.

How come the F-4’s not blowing black smoke out the tail? They put a prop on that thing?

Great photos!!! I tried posting them yesterday but I guess I’m too computer illiterate.

Did the F-22 make a fly by? It was supposed to Saturday but had mechanical trouble.

It was a great airshow, wasn’t it? Thanks for posting the photos.

Yeah the F-22’s flew by twice, and were pretty slick.

The show was great. I was really disappointed that the B-29 “Fifi” wasn’t there as advertised. That would have made a great picture. All three Boeing “fortresses” in flight together!!

The Areoshell AT-6 Texan demo team was impressive.

A BUFF and a B-17. Man, I’d love to see that.
