Formula one race cars

As a kid my brother and I went to many races I always enjoyed these cars and decided to start building them. I wonder if there are any suggestions regarding primers and things to be careful of. They seem far more delicate than the Chargers and such being that the suspensions and engines are exposed.

I’ve built a few and have a bunch more in the stash. The Tamiya kits I’ve built are well engineered and the suspension generally goes together well. I built a Revell Indy car (not F1 I know but similar) and it was more about painting/planning as the top A-arms were molded with the nose. I suppose it’s no differnt than dealing with fiddly steering linkage, sway bars etc on the muscle cars.

Engine detailing is more appealing as the engine is the focal point of a lot of the cars - especially with the cowl off.
