Okay, I was a little skeptical myself but it looks like the wait maybe over. A review of the French H35 on PMMS and a post on missing links would indicate that the kit has been released in Japan. The review in PMMS is very encouraging, especially when you consider it’s their first effort. Keep your fingers crossed…
It looks good. Still holding my breath until I see it and the Comet in the stores. I’m really hoping they stay around and release more kits on their anounced lists.
No Bronco kits have been officially released here in Japan yet. As simple proof of the company’s existence, I had posted on several sites that I had held in my hands Bronco’s 1/35 H39 Hotchkiss and a 1/350 Seawolf kit, but those were kits a buddy of mine had sent to him from a contact in Hong Kong. He sold them at the Shizuoka Modeller’s Flea Market last weekend, which is where I had a chance to inspect them. Nice kits, the two I saw. Cheap, too…the Hotchkiss was 2,900 yen (about $25 USD) and the Seawolf was 2,000 yen (about $16 USD). Those of course were flea market prices, so it’s anyone’s guess what retail prices will be.
But the final, and I must say, surprising verdict is: yes, Bronco does exist!
Company was announced how long ago, and its taken a year to come up with a product. ok, so they exist, but I’ll be a lot happier when I see my Scud-A on IS chasis.
You and me both. Didn’t they also announce an SA-8 or another modern Soviet kit? I seem to remember a second russian kit that is supposed to be released by Bronco.
