Foamy Future?

Hi everyone, I got this problem when airbrushing future on the window for my rally car model. [:(]

the future start to spray fomay with very tiny bubbles? will it disappear after it dry? what did I do wrong?

lucky I tested it on the window, if I sprayed it on the body…due to the body is also sprayed arcylic…man…donno how to remove it.

any advance will be good, thanks.

if it’s just on the window an ammonia based window cleaner will do it… just be careful that you don’t get it on the paint… maybe use a Qtip especially around the body area…

not sure what happened with the foaminess though… maybe someone else has some ideas.

Sounds to me like water contamination, either in the airbrush line, coming from the compressor, from real high humidity, or just in the Future itself. When applying Future to the floor (yeah, some of us still use it as intended!), Future will bubble quite a bit if there is water on the floor.

Maybe someone else has other ideas.

Enjoy your modeling…

I agree with Robert, the Future was probably contaminated with water. It could have come from the AB if you don’t have an in-line water trap. You didn’t thin it with water, did you?

Regards, Rick

Thanks guys for helping. [:)]

I’ll try to empty out thte moisture trap and try again. no I didn’t thin it at all.

maybe moisture got trap inside the airbrush while I was washing it b/w paints.
