I have really enjoyed both of your guys work!
Thanks Jeff! I appreciate the kind words brother.
Thanks tons Jeff,
I still have a few more levels of water to pour once this dries completely.

Simply outstanding, Steve. It’s really taking shape, and quickly too. NICE !!

Steve, that is looking mighty good, also impressed how quickly it all is coming together for you.

Jack
This would have been something to see take off. Yikes, it’s HUGE !!
That does look real nice Steve. So how do you blow the water.
Bish,
The ripples in the water just formed that way. I think it was because as it cured, I moved it from inside to outside, warm to cold and back. This must have cause the resin to harden rippled, which resulted in a perfect look. If you look at it in person, the light hits the bottom of the “beach” like real water. I still have a few more layers to add and the last one I will use my heat gun, set with the heat off, to ripple the resin into waves. Another method I found that seems to work is while the resen sets I could tip the base on occasion as it dries and this seems to cause “waves”. The last thing I will do is drybrush the wavetops for the foam.
I am waiting for my local craft supply store to restock the resin before I continue.
Thnaks Steve. It has certainly worked a treat.
I haven’t progressed on the Rufe much, HL is out of the resin and I’m waiting for them to restock.
Steve
Steve, no worries. I haven’t worked on my kit either for a bit now. Busy with work and I’m trying to get my Viper done. It’s at the detail painting stage and progress is slow. I’m also waiting for a PE kit for the exterior of the Jake to show up from Japan. We have all year to get these done.

Which Jake are u doing?
Not Jake, Pete, my bad. Too many cool names.

I bought some more resin, mixed and poured the next layer. Once this is dry, I pour the last layer and form the waves….hopefully.
Steve
Looking really nice Steve. And a good touch with the rope, would not want it floating away.
Wow, Steve. It just gets better and better. You have just nailed the look.
BK
Very cool!
