Good job…I like it very much…![]()
The new pics are good and I still think the chipping looks great, nice job.

I really like it. You answered my first question in a previous post, re the flag. A very nice historical addition btw. The Germans often used flags on captured AFVs to aid in arial recognition. Nicely done. My second question is about the fenders. Did the come bent in the kit or did you do that? If so plastic, metal, and how? Thanks and a great looking finished product.
Satch
Satch,
Thanks for your interest!
The front fenders were thinned down on the inside with a carbide burr in my Dremel Stylus set as slow as it would go.
Then when I could see light through them, I bent them (carefully) to shape just like metal ones.
The rears were supposed to be made from the kit supplied photo-etch, but the method of attachment was too weak. I opted to make them out of .005" styrene sheet stock instead (using the photo-etch pieces as e cutting template).
Then I just bent them as well.

Looking really nice, Tom!
If I may critique–you lighting on your photos…could you get some brighter lighting for your photos, or check your ISO settings? They’re kinda “gloomy”…[:-^]
Thanks Doog!
Um… Sorry about the “quality” of the pictures.
I took them with a 3 year old cheep ($100.00) 4MP P.H.D. (Push Here Dummy) camera.
The lighting was just the work bench floresents.
P.S. glad you like the FlakPanzer though[:D]
Tom
Way too cool.
Thanks for checking in, glad you like it.
Tom
Nice Thomas!
Very cool I like it a lot!!! [swg]
Thats a great looking build[bow]. Are the helmets plastic or resin, where did you get them from…cheers…Kenny
Schnobs, Spacepacker,
Glad you like it!
Spacepacker, the helmets are just the old Tamiya plastic from my spares box.
Thanks for the question.
Sorry it took me so long to reply, but I’ve been buisy working on my A-34 Comet;

I am going to try to get this into the readers gallery her in FSM though.
Tom
Very well done! Everything about it looks right[tup]
Excellent figure Tom!
I really like vehicles with figures becasue it just slams home scale and realism.
Well done!!
Wow guys,
I let ya fellas get by without repling too.
Schnobs & Mike, much appreciated!!!
Tom
Amazing work on the figure! [tup] Am I seeing a tear drop coming out of the figure’s left eye? Or is it the quality of photo? I swear I like it! Our friend just learned that the Germans lost the war so he just sat down, light his cigarette and cry! [BH]
I swear I was thinkingthe same thing. At 1st I thought you really captured the 1000 yard stare but when zoomed in it does look like a tear there. Perfect.
Really cool model there Tom, excellent finish.
Terry.
Yep that figure does finish it off, looks great my friend.
Rob
Really nice job Tom. That figurer tops it off perfectly. Well done[tup]!
