FlakPanzer T-34 FIGURE ADDED 11-02-09

Speaking of flakpanzer, I’m just about finish with my old but lovable tamiya flakpanzer IV wirbelwind, I’ll be posting it soon. But there this some touch up’s.

This is probably one of the best applications of the “salt technique” I’ve ever seen…it’s often waaaaay too overdone - yours is spot on. [#toast]

Thanks Dupes!!!,

Stick a fork in this one, it’s done!!

Well, what do ya think?

Tom

Sweet!

That’s one great looking tank, well done. [tup][tup]

Thanks,

Glad you like it…

Tom

Some nice weathering/chipping there Tom, not to overdone. The rust on the tracks look a little too red but that may be due to photography, I have that problem when using real rust powder. All around nice job on this t34 variant.

Rob

You’re the first on the block to finish this unique vehicle in the forums to my recollect. Very cool indeed. I like your cammo and subtle weathering. I kind of concur about the tracks, but it’s probably the flash or lighting.

Tom,

Being a novice and striving to get better I always appreciate the pro’s on this forum and picking up new techniques. You did a fantastic build.

Did you do the camo free hand?

That is soooooo cool!! excellent job.

Dude that is so nice. I think the red is some sort of illusion. The flag also looks iridecent, Even the helmuts look like they are trying to be too.

Great looking build, I like it!!!

Thanks, Jim

Holy ammo boxes! [:O]

Nice finish to the build. [tup]

I am floored by all the great responces!

Thanks to all.

As for the crappy pictures, here are a few better ones;

Many thanks to; Dupes, Tigerman, Scratchmod, Model Maniac 96, Wing_nut, Lexesbenz, IBuild148, Psstoff995’s ibro & everyone I missed.

It is realy great to get such possitive feedback!

I hope to be posting a Bronco Comet later this week, so stay tuned…

Tom

[bow] Outstanding build! Your cammo and weathering are just perfect…

By the way, did anyone ask you (or did you mention) how you did the flag?

Thanks for chiming in…

The flag was Photoshoped and laser printed on plain laser paper.

Then I soaked it in a solution of Isopropal, Water & White Glue untill soft and applied.

Weathered lightly when dry with pastels.

Tom.

The colors in those pics look much more “normal” than the prior ones. In the future, try throwing a big sheet of poster paper underneath/behind your builds - helps cut out the clutter.

WBill directed me toward this a couple of years ago. Helps a ton!
