What…no zimmerit?! I thought all the Ostwind’s had zimmerit…nice build otherwise though…
A question: why isn’t “art instructor” on the forum himself? Sometimes I feel like we’re commenting on “the Scarlet Pimpernel’s” work![(-D]
Interresting how he painted the rubber tracks.
I didn’t know that the Ostwind had zimmerit, do you have a picture showing one?
“Art Instructor” knows just a little English and he doesn’t have time to be here. He may read local forums in Thai language, not foreign ones.
Gun Tech, I think the track is vinyl (plastic), not rubber.
[#oops][oops][BH]
Another boo-boo. Maybe the lack of information for proper research is the issue? or perhaps the language barrier? I noticed that the balkankreuze is off kilter a touch on the RH.
Otherwise, a very nice looking model I think.

Steve
the little details aside - its a nice job!
Hmmm, OK![:D]
BTW, thanks Gun Tech, for postin those pics!!–I don’t own a scanner!
I’m trying to make a flakpanzer wirbelwind with a srachbuild turret, relitive to your but I want to know, the flak gun, did you got it seperate or did it came with the kit.
Thanks for your pictures, Gun Tech! Now I wonder whether the other types of German AA armors like the Mobelwagen, Wirbelwind and Kugelblitz (also using Panzer IV’s chassis) have zimmerit or not.
T-rex, the flak gun comes with the kit and the kit was built out of the box. I wonder why do you have to scratchbuild the wirbelwind turret. It should come with the kit (Tamiya’s or CMK’s) already.
As far as I know , only the Wirbelwind had Zimmerit.
Cheers!
Yes, the turret comes in the tamiya kit, but there are two whirlwind, one is the tamiya kit while the other is the body of a panzer IV and tamiya flak 38 combine, but the turret will have to be scracchbuild, it will be a interasting project.
Thanks, Gun Tech!
Good luck with your project, T-rex!
