Fixing autos to display base

Hi. I’ve been scratching my head trying to think of ways to fix model cars to hardwood display bases to stop them rolling around in transit etc. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks - slowthing

My [2cnts]. Try drilling holes in the bottom of the tires for a small piece of stiff wire. Glue to the tire with CA. Then, mark the spots where the wire touches the base and drill matching holes. Glue the wire in place with CA. That should do the job.

Hope this helps.

I have used clear silicone caulk. Holds with any tire material.

If you’re seeking something that isn’t permanent, how about museum wax, also known as “quake wax”. There’s also museum putty.

Good Advice my friend !
