Thanks for sharing Tim! That is a nice looking kit. Was looking at getting the Chevy Fleetside kit with the wood paneling, might have to get this as well when it comes out. Do you know if Moebius will do additional variants with this kit like they have done before?
Hi Nuc…I don’t have any specific knowledge about Moebius Models’ plans for additional variants of their 1964 Comet tool. But if you look at their track record with their other kit toolings, virtually every one (except perhaps the IH Pro-Star, if you consider it a mostly different tool than the LoneStar) has eventually generated additional releases. I would not be surprised to see a 100% showroom stock Comet, an A/FX type variant (licensed or phantom), and possibly others over the coming years. But those are just my thoughts; again, no knowledge here on their specific future plans…TIM
Here is the one I built last November (2025). I used Tamiya TS-75 Champayne with Krylon Gloss Burgundy interior and painted side stripes. Great kit. I would recommend it.
Thanks @Frozin. I wanted something a little different than the box art. Don’t see too many model cars this color. I like the pro-touring style customs. This one was great right out the box. It didn’t need any aftermarket add-ons. I wish the model companies would market more of this style… A 5.0 Coyote engine would have been nice in this kit.
These guys didn’t leave anything out of this kit. Separate door handles and badges are a definite plus. LOTS of detail in this kit. Thanks for sharing Tim.
