First Cockpit in 35 years

[:-^]Hi All.

I hope the pictures work. My first attempt at posting pics. This is my first build in 35 years. Wow things sure have changed. I have learned soooo much from topics on these forums and have tried my best to do a good job. I am fairly pleased but I welcome any and all comments.

This is the cockpit to Tamiya’s F15E. I added a little weathering but was limited as I had completed the build. I added the colour to the helmets just because. I apologize for the quality of the pictures.

Cheers [#toast] Dave

From what I can see it looks great[tup] How did you get the screens to look like the real deal? decals?

Look forward to more.

[:)]Thanks Roy. Yes they’re decals through the clear plastic painted clear orange and sealed with future. It was tricky getting the decals to stick until I used the future.

Dave

You did a great job[tup]

Nice work!

Great work. The 35 year lay-off certainly did not diminish your modeling talent.

Maybe that’s my problem, I need another extended layoff!!!

Looks good Dave. Don’t wait 35 years to do the next one [:)].

Regards, Rick

Looking good, Dave. I hope you don’t wait so long before your next build!!

Great work, especially on those MFD screens.

Are you SURE it’s been 35 years? From where I’m sitting, looks more like 35 minutes. Seriously, excellent work! Especially those MFD displays- WOW!

Dave,

Welsome to the forum! You certainly have lost no skill in the intervening years, that is beautiful work, especially on the screens! Absolutely awesome work! Thanks for sharing!

[:D]Many thanks to you all for the kind words. They say patience is a vurtue and maybe with age I have learned to take my time. I can’t say enough about what I have learned on these forums, so an extra thanks to all those that post helpful hints.

Cheers, Dave

[:D]Thanks Mike. So far the build is going real well. No problems to speak of. I haven’t decided what markings I will use yet.
