this kit is hiding as a reissue in a strange place
you see this kit around in various reincarnations
this is the ‘get it done’ way to own it
as far as quality my lindberg kit looks A-1 and it’s ‘Made in USA’
Might be worth a look when it hits my LHS
you can do that or get it from Megahobby.com
they have an unmatched selection of lindberg kits
i got my big red t and 1/8 dragster from them
with $7.95 shipping then now it’s $8.95
Thanks for the tip-I’ll check it out.
Cheers

original was a 3 in 1 and so is lindberg reissue
lindberg just packages it with pictures of built models on front of box
i don’t know if they just have rights to tooling and
not the artwork and written copy or
they just don’t want to go that route
very curious!
happy holidays
…The first AMT Trophy series kit was the Model B Ford roadster in 59’ last issued in AMT’s Model Shop series during the late nineties. It was followed by the 32’ Ford Coupe (Now available from Dirt Track Racer) and the 39/40 Ford Coupe and Sedan and the currently available 25’ Ford double kit…The Lindberg rod kits were tooled in the early sixties by Lindberg or nineties Testor releases. The exception is the 34’ Ford pickup made from found tooling lost by AMT when they moved from Troy, Michigan.

you caught me!
on an online hobby shop that sells out of production kits
they said '34 pickup was AMT tooling
so i made the jump that so was '32 roadster since it was another
3 in 1 kit at lindberg
happy holidays!
While the Lindberg 32 Roadster is a completely different tool and kit from the AMT 32 Roadster (and much more crude), it is a gold mine of parts if you are duplicating or restoring an old AMT Trophy Series 32 Roadster.
The complete engine in this kit was cribbed from the AMT kit (except no “Chrysler Fire Power” engraving on the rocker covers, and the headers). So if you have a newer AMT 32 Roadster, and need a the one piece tri-power intake/heads assembly, the one in here, along with the carbs is identical to the AMT piece. The blower is extremely close to the 1959 issue blower as well.
Another thing you could do is build this guy out of the box, subbing in the grille/shell from an AMT or Revell kit, the headers and cycle fenders from the AMT 25 T kit, , and adding some molding to the body using half round strip. You could get a pretty passible old school hot rod that way.
This one below is an actual 1960 issue AMT 32 Roadster…

i bought kits for reference.
for building race car chassis.
the drag model ( gold one on right ) is a very simple build.
slingshot dragster with welded up solid mount rear end is one step simpler.
i have article from early 60’s where guy welded up front axle solid.
said the car went a lot straighter in quarter mile![:)]
that would be simplest.
