Lately been working on these 2, thought I’d let you all see where Im at. the wildcat is for the naval aviation GB, if you want to see more have a look in there.

this is a 72nd Italieri F-5 which Im doing up as a Canadian bird using Leading Edge decals. taken me way longer than I thought, the kit required a lot of filling and sanding, and then when I found I couldnt freehand the camo, masking took what seems like forever. but thats all behind me, all thats left is the engines, landing gears and decals. Painted using MM acryl. By the way, is the Italieri kit the same as the Revell germany one? cuz I have a 2 seater Revell one which Im going to make at some point in the future.

Hiya matt,
The Wildcat seems to be almost finished. The CF-5 is looking sweet. What sqd aree going to put her in??
Looking forward to seeing both of these builds in the near future…!!
Flaps up, Mike
Both are looking real good. Very nice work. Thanks for sharing.
Regards, Rick
thanks guys. Mike, I havent decided yet but I think its going to be a bluenose sqn, I like the lobster on the side LOL
Nice work there.
I believe that the 1/72 Italeri single seat F-5 and the Revell Germany two seater are both old Esci molds in origins.
I have Classic Airframes’ 1/48 F-5A and the Leading Edge decals waiting in a box for me back in Canada to get started on them.
they both look great. nice work.

Great looking builds you have there Matt![tup] I really like that CF-5. Can’t wait to see it finished.
You have a couple of great looking builds there. Thanks for the pictures.
I know what you mean about masking. I recently finished masking 3 P-40s I was building simultaneously, all with the same camo scheme. I will never do that again.
