Finished my Tamiya Tiger 1, an excellent kit with added PE and some new to me weathering techniques. This will be used in a future Battle of Leningrad diorama.
Wow,nine hours,no comments!!! Someone needs to say something,it really came out nice, good touch on some of that battle damage, tracks are worn and weathered nicely, too bad those tracks aren’t laying just right. Was there any way of tightening the idler wheel?
Will be interestting to see the dio.
Excellent finish! Great level of weathering and minor damage. Love that Panzer grey
You’re not the first and probably not the last but 332 should be Dunkelgelb dark Yellow.
I learnt this from my days of modelling armour.
Can’t trust the Tamiya box art ![]()

i did mine gray with a white wash.
It looks very good, Tristan. As @Karljeff72 said, it should be dark yellow. This tank was not from around Leningrad. However, most of the few gray Tigers were in action around Leningrad. Those Tigers didn’t have side fenders and some of the other details. But still, yours looks excellent.
This one was just a palette refresher from my typical automotive builds so I built it mostly box stock according to the directions minus the metal tracks
Wow, I don’t know where to start. The paint and weathering turned out great. Very nice touch with the battle damage as well. You nailed it with the tracks!
