Finished Rammtiger lots of Pics

Here is my version of the Rammtiger. I kept the basic look of the paper panzer, but made a few changes that I think the vehicle would have if it would have been operational.

Here are two pictures of the lower hull before I glued it to the rammhood.

Next up are the finished pics with the hood mounted to the lower hull.

Yes, I see that I forgot to paint the red lens on the convoy light. It since has been painted.

The pigment weathering was done in a new way. I used the same technique that was shown in the F.A.Q. DVD. I think that it turned out alot better than just using the pigments dry.

Hope you enjoyed it. Compliments and critisim is as always welcome.

very impressive, i followed this build. This is a really neat subject i’d never seen before.

hey, how did you do the chipped paint look?

[bow]AWESOME!!![bow]

I love the look of the “metal” being exposed from where the paint scratched off. Not to metion the dirty look of the hood, with the stains in some areas. You did a fantastic job on this Rammtiger!!![tup][tup]

A superior job, Tony!

Really nicely built up, and a beautiful finish to boot! I’m glad I got to see this before I leave tomorrow! WOW! Looks great!

TacoBuff, I did the paint chipping with a 5/0 brush with dark gray paint. I braced my hand against the model with my ring figure and lightly touched the surface. Also kept a fairly dry brush without alot of paint on it. Helped me keep the chips to a small size.

mg.mikael Thanks for the compliments

Doog Thank You as well, but one thing. My name isn’t Tony it’s Kim. Don’t worry about it though

Tony? Doog concentrate on your supposed to be packing!!!

Very nice work there Kim. I like the effect of the weathering.

It turned out great!

This turned out awsome moose. Now watch come next June Dragon will release the Smart kit.

wing_nut, panzerguy Thanks for the complements. To true for it would be ironic that dragon would do that. They just did it. I just finished getting all the after market goodies for the 505th panzer battalion. And what did they do, but go and release a cyberhobby one of the same thing. [banghead]

[tup] [tup] on this one, nicely done all around. It’s the Murphy’s Law of Modeling, if you scratchbuild it and/or spend hours detailing/converting an old kit into something spectacular, one of the majors will announce or release the same kit within 3-6 months. [(-D]

SHEESH! [:I][:I][:I]…[banghead] WHY DO I DO THAT!!!

I swear–I have to get better ventilation in here! LOL! [(-D]

First jagdpanther 302; now you…and there was a couple of “misplaced Steve’s” along the way…I just can’t keep everyone straight!

But hey–you’re still relatively new here yet; I’ll get it right soon enough!

I’M SOOOOOORRY!!! [:I]…[swg]

You’d better check your emails, I think Dragon just sent you one and want to by your build to make a mold out of it.

Really ambitous project and turned out really great. I applaud the efforts on the research and scratching.

Moose, thats an awesome paper panzer! I don’t know if I have the patience to set out and make something that doesn’t exist as a kit, but you did a great job. good pastel weathering too.

Looks AWESOME!!! I followed this build, you did an awesome job. A very cool looking beast. Great job on the weathering. I take it the DVD is worth getting? Great job!!!

Nicely done…two thumbs up on this one…

The image “http://smilies.vidahost.com/otn/wrestling/naka.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. Now, “I” want one!

that thing is sweet!!![tup]

Very cool. I always wondered what was under the “hood”.

awsome build and paint job. one thing i notice is why are the tracks rusty? unless this beast has been sitting and not moveing for a few years the tracks shouldent be that rusty. hell ive been to outdoor museums with tanks that have been sitting outside for 20 years and the tracks are not that rusty.

but overall a really nice job.

One thing you got to remmember these track’s were bare metal no paint nothing after a week out the in the element’s there going to start to rust (if not sooner) And I would be suprised if the museum’s did’nt paint or coat the track’s,they did at Ft. Sill and Ft.Hood for the static display pieces.
